Mr. Amir Zafar has more than 32-years experience in diverse fields ranging from aviation, large scale manufacturing to power utility. He has been associated with the energy sector for the past 11 years, and was part of the leadership team that successfully led the turnaround of an ailing utility company. Led business critical projects worth US$ 71 million annually meant to create long-term value for the organization. Carried out due diligence of an ailing Nigerian utility company, and suggested ways to turnaround.
Led multi-disciplinary functions in the Distribution Business at K-electric including New Connections, Project Planning and Implementation, Research & Development, Material & Contract management, Quality Assurance and HSE. As Project Director – Distribution, initiated flagship projects meant to reduce technical and commercial losses. He was responsible for an annual material budget of US$114 million and was instrumental in initiating localization processes meant to ensure self-reliance.
As Chief HSEQ, established Corporate HSEQ within an organization of over 10,500 employees. Reduced employee accidents by 86%, asset damage by 92% and public accidents by 83% in a short span of 6 years. Led the ISO-9001 & ISO-14001 company certification program. He has won many National and International awards in the field of HSE.
Amir holds an Engineering degree with a Masters in Engineering Management. He is also a qualified lead auditor in ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and OHSAS-18001.

Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan is the Director of Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) Peshawar. His educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Business Administration from San Diego, California, USA, in 1986. After returning to Pakistan he joined a development financial institution in Islamabad and worked for the promotion of business and industry in the less developed areas of Pakistan. Thereafter, he joined the founding team that established the Bank of Khyber in 1992. A challenging job was to enhance the access to credit for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular, and the country in general. As an Executive Vice President his main areas of responsibilities were banking operations, project financing, and training and research. In 2004, he left the banking sector and conducted research and consultancy assignments in Pakistan and Afghanistan for multinational organizations.
Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan joined the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar in March 2005 as the Joint Director (Academics). He worked with his team members for introducing new academic programmes, developing need based scholarship programmes and enhancing the quality of the pogrammes and facilities. In February, 2013, he was appointed as the Director of the Institute of Management Sciences. His focused areas include fostering linkages with industry and improving the employability skills of the students; honing their skills for working in a knowledge economy, and conducting research that has an impact value for industry and the society.
He has attended various seminars, symposiums and conferences, both nationally and abroad during his academic and professional career spanning over 30 years. His academic interests are in strategy development, financial services and entrepreneurship.
He is a member of the Syndicate of various universities and is a member of various committees of higher education institutions, and the Higher Education Commission. In addition, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of three public sector organizations in Pakistan.

An attorney at Law with a Master of laws (distinction) from Cardiff Law School, United Kingdom, possessing an extensive legal experience of nineteen years in several legal disciplines including constitutional, corporate, tax, commercial, regulatory and service litigation; policy review and legislative drafting; and corporate and financial market advisory.
He has worked as a senior legal consultant to the World Bank on review of the insurance sector, regulatory framework for trade in services and investment and the review of tax legislation for FBR in Pakistan. He prepared the basic framework for introduction of terrorism insurance in Pakistan and prepared the framework for the establishment of National Commodity Exchange in Pakistan. He has also advised the Government of Pakistan on the corporatization of State Life Insurance Corporation.
He served as the General Counsel and Head of the Legislation and General Counsel Department of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan where he has the honor of having worked on more than two hundred diversified legislative assignments. Having formulated major legislative instruments administered by SECP he has given advise on several laws developed by the Federal Government and other statutory bodies in Pakistan. He has been advising SECP on issues, including but not limited to, corporate matter, capital and debt markets, non banking financial companies, mutual funds, insurance and modaraba.
He has been involved in the review of Bilateral Investment Treaties between Government of Pakistan and foreign countries and has been representing SECP at Government Ministries, Cabinet, Parliament and its committees, international donor agencies and international forums including diplomatic forums (UNDROIT).
He was a member of the corporate rehabilitation committee established by the Government of Pakistan and has negotiated ADB’s Second Generation of Capital Markets Reform Program loan of $400 million. He has also provided advise on the Political Risk Guarantee Facility Agreements, under ADB’s Financial (Non Banking) Markets and Governance Program.
He also served the National Accountability Bureau as Additional Deputy Prosecutor General and conducted high profile litigation. He is a currently legal consultant to Pakistan’s largest entities in the Oil and Gas and fertilizer sectors and has advised clients on corporate transactions of over 100 million Dollars. He is representing leading companies and government departments in a number of high profile litigation in Pakistan and is advising blue chip companies on corporate and commercial matters.
